Privacy of Development is a software studio. We build our own SaaS products and take on custom development projects for businesses that need reliable, well-crafted software. We don't outsource, don't over-engineer, and don't disappear after launch.
Mission
Software that earns trust by working reliably.
Too much software is over-promised and under-delivered. We got tired of seeing businesses stuck with tools that barely worked, systems they couldn't maintain, or products that looked great in demos but fell apart under real usage.
Privacy of Development exists to do the opposite. We build things we'd be proud to maintain, software that solves the actual problem, and products that get better over time instead of slowly rotting.
Running live SaaS products keeps us honest — we feel the same pain as our users when something breaks, and that shapes everything about how we build.
Solve the right problem
Before writing code, we ask: what's the actual problem? Half the projects we've seen go wrong weren't about bad code — they were solving the wrong thing entirely.
Ship, then improve
A working product in users' hands beats a perfect product in a staging environment. We ship early, gather feedback, and iterate fast.
Own the outcome
We don't hand off and disappear. Whether it's a client project or our own SaaS, we stay accountable for what we build and how it performs.
Keep it maintainable
Code that only the original author can read is a liability. We write for the future — for you, for other devs, for the version of us six months from now.
Story
How we got here
2020
First lines of code
Started building custom software for local businesses — mostly websites and simple web tools. Learned fast that good software is about solving real problems, not writing clever code.
2022
First SaaS product
Launched the first internal SaaS experiment. It didn't survive, but the lessons did — product scoping, user feedback loops, and the importance of keeping things simple.
2023
Studio established
Privacy of Development became a proper studio — combining custom client work with in-house product development. Two workstreams, one shared standard of quality.
2024
3 products live
Advisor AI, MetryxSEO, and ReportFlow all reached production. Real users, real feedback, real improvements. The SaaS side of the business became the proving ground for how we build.
2025+
Growing the portfolio
More products in the pipeline, more client projects in the works. The mission stays the same: build software that actually works, is maintainable, and solves the right problem.
